Lawyer Fees

Hi All,

I have been researching few lawyers to do my PERM application. It is very confusing .. all seem good with good profiles (gave talks, members of Bar ... etc)

When it comes to fees, about 2 will charge $3500 for labor certification, then about $750 for I140 and another $1500 for adjustment of status (me & my family).

Another lawyer charges $6000 flat fee for the whole thing.

However, I found another one whom seems reputable and charges only $4000 for everthing + (printing, mailing ...etc)

I have asked some of these lawyers for references, some gave me names some said that they cannot due to attorney-client confidentiality and ethical considerations.

So I am confused .. even I found the following site:
http://www.usavisanow.com/lcgreencardretainer.html
for $1800

Any thoughts ....

Thanks,

Fady

My lawyer is $4000 for the whole process plus FedEx fees and USCIS fees. It really varies from $4,000 to $7,000. $1,800 sounds a little low, although I don't know their reputation, they might be excellent lawyers. However, please don't hand your case to an incompetent lawyer just because you want to save a few bucks right now. Because after you get your GC, all of the riches of this fine country will be yours to explore.

The firm I work for is $4000-$4500 in attorney fees based on how many cases are from the company, etc., and from what I've read we are on the LOW end of the spectrum. I saw one firm that wanted to charge $6,200 JUST for the PERM. Isn't that insane?? That $1800 one sounds really dodgy.
