Lawyer fees for rfe

Hello,

I have an immigration lawyer who represents my pending I485 case and is charging me 300$ to respond to my rfe which
basically involves mailing the I-693 form. Am i obilgated to pay that fee to the lawyer since I can respond to the rfe by myself.

Lawyer's Fee

Hi,

Although you are not obligated to file a RFE thru a lawyer, but my suggestion is that you should let the lawyer handle and respond to the RFE as he is well equipped to do that. Additionally, incase there is any further RFE or clarification, the lawyer will come very handy at that point of time.

Moreover, he's asking for a reasonable amount ($300) and nothing astronomical, so I dont isee an issue there as well.

Dont save a penny or two in the GC process but make sure you spend it wisely.
