Hello Gurus,

My information follows.
PD - 3/2002
140 - 3/2004 (Approved)
EAD/485 - Applied 6/2004
First Finger Printing - July 04
Biometric done on May 05 (Code 2)

Want to find out latest trend details. Does code 2 means I will have my case approved soon or my case is active? What is code2 mean.

Appreciated all the help I get.

Thanks.

Code 2

Code 2 means your case is approved, but the INS need your fingerprint, photos and sign electronically. After it you will receive your Green Card.

Hello RBulus,

We had our biometrics (code 2) done last Friday. There was a change in LUD on Friday and Monday. But nothing yesterday or today.

The officer at ASC mentioned that we will receive the card in 2 weeks and when I asked if my I485 is approved, she did not have clear answer.

Does this mean that something is going on? My I-140 is approved just 2 weeks back. I485 RD is Jan 7,2005.

Thanks,

Hi
we did our Biometrics today amd the officer just took our FP notice and took a photo and finger print for right index finger.
My RD is jan 2004 and the online status message doesn't say any thing about biometrics.....and i donno that code 2 biometrics mean's the GC is already approved. We just filed AC21 and address change.......and I am confused now.......

Pls adivice.....Any input is greatly appreciated...
Thanks

code 2 fingerprint

I can only explain my experience:

I receive in April 25 my approval notice for I-485, in it said " I will received the green card in 120 days". I did the infopass appointment to get my passport stamp on May 13. Before May 13 i received the fingerprint (biometric) papel schedule for May 24.

I explained to my lawyer i want to have the stamp in my passport for travelling issue, he agreed and he recommend me twice to do not go for fingerprint, but he was wrong.

I got the stamp in my passport, but i went yesterday to the fingerprint appointment. Both were the same, in the stamp passport; they received my photos, i sign in a paper twice and i fingerprint my finger (one of each hand), in the ASC they took my pic (electronically), the fingerprint (electronically) and i sign in a computer devices (electronically).

I asked the people in the ASC if i really need the fingerprint and they told me yeah.

Today i received an email said "they order my green card", and i called my lawyer and he said now, i did the right. The fingerprint is the start for the green card order, after it they will mail the card.

Every ASC and cities are different some take longer than other, but if you see changes in your LUD that is great. I saw twice, between the stamp passport and the fingerprint. I am in Chicago, but i fingerprint in a suburb (you know it is quiet than the city).

Hope to help with this information.

Hi Rabuls

Your case is differnt. You got 485 approval first and then got the biometrics. But all of us are on differnt boat. We did not receive any notice of approval nor we have our online message says about it.
But we got Biometrics messages.

On the other hand, we are seeing, people are getting approvals even they have PD after us and that is too without getting any biometrics approval.

The attorneys are not in position to tell anything as there is no clear instructions or update from USCIS.

Is it happening with EB2 people only ?

Lets track the latest trend in NSC

Its a great start.

I did not received any email notification from USCIS. I will check the LUD change today and reply to this thread by tomorrow.

The biometric request received for my wife then I called the lawyer he received both so got both copies and done biometric.

I will suggest everyone be in touch with your lawyer frequently and make sure you have any updates since they may be missing some.

We should track the latest trend in green card process which helps everyone.

Thanks for all the support on this thread.

:)

Biometrics without approval

See signature for details.
Biometrics notice raised hopes, but disappointed when other forum members reported waiting for approval even after one month of completing biometrics.

My LUD is changed on 5/16/2005. In other sites and user-forms mentioned the greencard should get in weeks. Lets hope the best.

Keep updating the status.

Thanks.

;)

any ideas what am i suppose to do???

Raj

Looking at various situations here, it seems the way that finger printing is being done has changed. Not sure. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi........

My LUD has been changing every day since yesterday after giving biometrics
but no change in message......we filed AC21 2 days back and i am confused ......Is this bcoz of biometrics or AC21 ??

thanks

It is mostly becuase of biometrics. Most of ours LUD changed for couple of days just after the biometrics. After that no movement so far. Hope that it is something different for you.

I'm totally confused now. My wife and I had received a FP (2nd) notice with code 3 in April for appointment on April 22nd. Now I have received another notice for my Son code 2 and date is June 4th.

With code 3 the way our FPs were taken (10 fingers plus index finger again) and the photo plus signature capture raised my hopes. Now my son's (minor under age 14) code 2 FP notice made me to believe that when they're asking for a minor's FP it means that they are just ready to approve our cases and only waiting for the final Biometric details.

Reading several postings here it appears that I should expect another notice of code 2 for my wife and I?? Also, looking at the people waiting for more than 2 months after their Biometric collection completely shatters my hopes. I don't know for how long more do I need to wait ... this is really pathetic.

EB2
RD - 11/14/01
ND - 11/29/01
1st FP - 04/02
RFE - 06/03
RFE Response Rcd by INS - 07/03
2nd FP (Code 3) - 04/22/05, 2nd FP for son - 06/04/05
AD ????????????????????????????????????????????????? - Don't know - just confused.

I got my biometric before approval for some people they got biometric after approval and looks like they are getting GCards subsequently.

Some people are done their biometric couple months back and waiting for their approval.

The new trend I've heard from the immigration forms is some people getting their approvals in couple weeks but some people are still waiting after biometric is done. For biometric they take index fingerprint, digital picture and signature and they are discontinuing GC stamping process.

You can find more information from the following link

Sunny27,

No its my mistake I dont see anyone who got approval after just giving biometric before approval. After approval and biometric people are getting the card in couple weeks time.

Thanks for correcting. But as per the bulletin the card should show-up once you are done with biometric may be it is only applicable for approved cases.

is this correct
