Lateral Move : Help required

I am not expecting my I485 approval within the next 9 months to 12 months.

Question for the Pundits : Could I move within the same organization to a different position? This would not be the same position as defined in the "original application". I am not in the IT industry; It is nearly impossible to define the new opportunity being similar to my current position.

Is it feasible for me to move to this new position? Please advise or direct me to messages linked with this issue.

If you are with the same orgn that sponsored you. By default you would be 'thought' to be in the same position. I do not think BCIS enquires in anyway- about what is your latest job description.
