late I-751 submitted and travel problem

I am late for two weeks to submit my I751 recently. I know that when they receive my application, they will send me the NOA or letter to state that my expired green card will be extended by 1 year.

The problem is now I am late for two weeks after expired date of green card? Will I receive the letter soon? My centre is Texas! I need the letter to travel and come back to US. If I really don't receive that letter, what can I do if I need to travel? Apply AP? or get the stamp 551 in the local office?

Why are you late? you had 90 days! you better have sent a good letter of explanation to USCIS along with the form and supporting evidence... otherwise your problems exceed those of traveling :rolleyes:
 
the reason of late is because my green card has been lost and found later. Can anyone know the late is the big problem? 2 weeks only. Thanks.
 
I found the green card already and copy both sides.

I also state my reason with application and say sorry about that.
