I'm on an F1 visa. my program ended 4/28. due to an oversight, I only filed my OPT application 5/17. has anyone filed 3 weeks late or so and got theirs accepted? the international student advisor at my college said I shouldn't bother. an immigration lawyer said that they might not, but I might as well try. one customer service rep I spoke to said it wasn't such a big problem, one said it could be but was up to the adjucator. another international student advisor at a neighboring college thought it probably wasn't a problem...
...which leads to my second question. I intend to apply to the neighboring college for a second bachelor's program. I probably won't finish my degree, but will apply for a master's starting next fall. I'm also hoping to do either part time OPT or full time CPT my first term. is it possible to do part time OPT concurrently with being enrolled in a degree program? after 2 terms, would I be able to take OPT over the summer? and most importantly, if I am accepted into this college but my OPT is also accepted, can I disenroll and continue my OPT?
