Dear Sir/ Madam
This is regarding the late availability of appointment
for US Visa Interview at US embassy, New Delhi, India.
I am a F1 visa applicant and need a suitable appointment for
visa interview so as to join my study program at Central Connecticut
State University latest by 23rd January 2006 (I-20
deadline), although the class will commence from 16th
January 2006 onwards.
I have already secured an appointment at US embassy
for 28 feb. 2006 which happened to be the earliest
possible date available for interview. But,
unfortunately this appointment will not serve my
purpose as, by that moment, I may no longer be able to
rescue my admission at the university.
It is because of the Passport Office's delay in
issuing me a new passport that I could not apply much
earlier. My previous Passport was up to be expired by
March 2006, this would not have fulfilled the Visa
requirement, therefore I had to apply for new
passport. The Passport office took more than 4 months
to issue me a Passport which I received during the 2nd week of December 2005., and that too after meeting the
Passport officer at the the Regional Passport Office,
Chandigarh.
Adding to this, the I-20 was despatched to me on 5-
Oct-05, which I received during the 3rd week of
October. Completing the further paper work took more
than a week for processing. The sequential delays at
every step had accumulated to such an extent that I
could finally apply for Visa Appointment on 17th Dec.
I seek your favor advise me get a
suitable appointment for interview at the US embassy.
This is really very urgent.
