Hi guys,

I will be applying my 140/485 concurrently soon.
My Engineering degree from India doesn't says my Last name completely.
It says First letter of my last name then first name (L.Firstname).
But my lawyer is asking me a letter(which should say my complete last name) from the University about this to avoid any future queries.
Is USCIS issues a query regarding this as i think lot of folks from Indian universities would have this problem.
Please share your experiences who has a similar problem.

All my degs. had my first name as initial only (incl. birth cert.) I didnt have any problem. I passed the interview and approved. Dont worry too much.If you have a brith vert. or affidavit i think that should be okay.

You can get the letter from your University. But follow your passport and SSN.

None of my certificates say what is my first , middle , last names, including my expired PP. Infact my BC has only my name, does not have any initials at all. This is not an issue, as far as I know.

But make sure your name in 485 appl. , your passport and visa are same.
