my employer is NOT sending my last years W2. How to get copy of W2?

I heared that if one has "pay stubs", any CPA can file your Tax return. Is it correct? Anybody filed tax return like this route?

Also, I hear that local IRS office can provide you copy of your W2, if you tell them your SSN#, is this correct?

I appreciate your inputs.

Call your local IRS and tell them your employer is not sending your W2, then they will help you to get your W2 or they will tell you what is alternative process.

if you have online access like IPAY.EDP... you can get it in that..

Legally they have to send you W-2 for tax filing. Write them an official email on a working day & time with a copy to their HR asking them to send you your W-2 asap. Also mention that it is their legal obligation and if they don't send it within a reasonable timeframe via certified mail, you will resort to other actions to get the tax filing done, including calling department of labor and IRS.
Hopefully they will send it to you soon.

Catch is..when I called employer, HR guy told W2 will be sent but its almost more...

Last year it happend to me...

I just called IRS,and the IRS rep. asked me,if I have in writing "the request to mail the W2".i SAID "yes".
Then she said its IRS problem now,and took the name, address, phone numbers of the company and said that they will send a NOTICE to the employer's address, asking them to send me the W2 within 30 days.If they don't send within the timeframe,IRS will file charges on the employer.
And in my case,I got my W2 within 10 days ...no wonder!!!!!

Hope this helps!

good you got your w-2. You can sue your employer as Legally they should send w-2 before jan end.

you should not bagge for w-2 from employer.
