When I login to USCIS check my case status I see that my I485 and I765 applications show a "Last Updated" date of 11/1/05. When I look at the message however there is no change from

"Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on September 13, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 120 and 180 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

I had my FP done for both on 10/29/05. Does the change in the last updated date mean they got the FP or what? How can it be updated if there is no visiable change in the message? Would it do any good to call the NSC and figure what the update was?

Thanks.

Anything ranging some a "real progress" to an administrative update involving no real change in the case status can trigger a LUD. It just means that your case was "touched" either as part of an overall system update only or because some new action was taken in your case. Take the LUD with a pinch of salt, many times it means nothing.
