I applied I485 in California Service Center.I got receipt for I485 .But my last name was misspelled ( missed two letters) . I sent a fax to the Service Center to correct my last name. I didn\'t get any correction notice.Now I got fingerprints notice.In this also my last name is misspelled .So is this any problem to go to fingerprints.

My wife\'s last name is mispelled on I-485, FP, EAD receipts. EAD card has wrong spelling. We got FP notice with wrong name. I contacted my lawyer. According to him, INS needs written document about spelling mistake. He suggested me to tell INS office (local) when I go for FP. Lawyer is going to send written document. Lawyer told me that they will not send corrected receipts but future documents will have corrected names. Hope that will help.
