Hi
I have a question My wife now wants to change her last name to her married one( My Last name). She didn't do it on her N-400 form . Is she still able to do it at the interview which is coming up next week?. Do you think is going to take too much time for her Oath? or is there any possibility she can take the Oath same day as me. Do we have to bring our marriage certificate? We got married in other country (not United States) .
Thanks in advance

Yes she can request the name change at the interview. Since this change is only to take your last name, it won't require a judicial oath so the name change won't delay the oath. She should bring the marriage certificate* to the interview and let the interviewer know that the change is only for taking her husband's last name.

*plus a certified English translation of it if the certificate itself is not in English.

Thanks
