Last Date of Entry in EAD application

I need some help and clarification on the following :

I plan to apply for renewal of my EAD shortly. I am currently working on EAD and my last entry into US was "By road" from Canada through Windsor-Detroit Tunnel. My visit to Canada was for my H1B(7th year extension) endorsement in Toronto, Canada.
I didn't get the I94 while entering US as I was allowed to enter US with the H1B stamp in my passport and my H1B approval(Petition).

Now while filling my EAD (I765) application, I have to specify my last date of entry into US and port of Entry.

When I specify the Port of Entry as Detroit-Windsor Tunnel with the date, will the BCIS ask for copy of I94 ? what kind of documentary proof I can provide to BCIS if they ask for documentary evidence for the date of entry ?

I would appreciate suggestions from any one in the same situation or passed through similar situation ?

Ok what is the current date on your I-94 right now??

If that I-94 is from your previous H1 (b4 7th yr) then Can I ask You this when u re-entered US then why didn't you ask for a NEW I-94 till the validity of 7th yrs H1 visa.

I think you didn't ask for a new I-94 because I'm positive that your current 94 has date of your expired H1B.

But anyhow you are on AOS status then you need to wrie the date when you came with last I-94. SO i guess thats the date you will use.
Don't go on my ideas I'm trying to understand that why you didn't ask for new I-94 .. write some more about ur case so we can understand the situation clearly.
