Hi,
I'm wondering if someone can help me with this problem. I guess the INS requires the last 3 years of income tax returns. Well my problem is that my wife is 18 and was a dependent for the last three years. We tried calling the IRS to get a letter stating this, but the won't do it because its her parents' account. Her parents would not help out with this situation, so no chance getting them to call.
Any ideas?
OH and also......when is the interview everyone always talkes about? Let's say I send in al my paper work this month (sept.), is that something i should worry about in the near future?
Thanks in avance!!

There won't be any problem from the things you mentioned. Explaining the situation during the interview hpefully will be good enough. But make sure to get you last three years of tax return, and/or the joint sponsor's tax return if someone is co sponoring you.
If you apply this month and everything is filed properly you will get your interview in between a period of 5 months to 3 years depending on where you live (i.e under which District office)..assuming you are a spouse of an USC.
thank you
