Landing with no address in Canada

Hello all,

When we will be landing we won't have any address in Canada where our PR Cards could be send. I mean it would take a while to find a place, so initially we would be staying in a hotel. My understanding is that at the border we would have to give an address where PR Cards could be sent. Could we give a PO Box? If so, anybody has any experience opening a PO Box in Canada from USA?

CIC won't send the PR Card to a PO Box. YOu have a 180 days after landing to inform CIC where you want your PR Card sent.

I am Quebec nominee and would be landing in Quebec. The only reliable address that I have is in Toronto (some friends). Would CIC care if I give Toronto address?

Another alternative that I found is some expensive
mail forwarding service that instead of PO Box number would have office suite number, but good street address. Would CIC send PR Cards to business address?

How does that work exactly? I thought you have to give something at landing. If you don't, do you go to immigration office once you find more or less permanent place to live?

Same thing about SIN card, etc. Do you go to appropriate offices once you established more or less permanently?

If anybody has any experience with Quebec medical card, I would greately appreciate any insight. Last time I stayed in Montreal a fella who was feeding us breakfast mistook me for newly landed immigrant and he told me to go get my medical as the very first thing to do while in Montreal. If only I knew that couple years later more information on this would have come so handy... :(
