Landing Soon - Employment questions???

Hello all,

I have my Landing papers & wish to land in Canada in next few months.
I currently work for a US firm on a H1 status.

My employer has an office in Canada. For me to work from Canada, what
is the legal overhead for my employer - especially because I am on H1.
Do they have to do any additional paperwork like informing US INS, get
Canadian authorities work permits etc?

Also can I remain on the US office payroll whereas work from Canada?

Importantly can I be on Canada office payroll but come back & work for
the US office in the US. Will I need RIR if I have to do so? How easy
is it to get such an authorization from Canada Imm authorities. Will I
need a H1 visa to work in the US but as a Canadian PR?

Is this plan workable? Any help in answering my questions will be
greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If you land in Canada, you are a Canadian Resident and do not need a work permit to work in the US as long as your H-1 is valid.

As far as taxes go, you have to pay them in Canada as well as in the US if you are working in both places.

Hope this helps.
