Landing procedure

Hi to All

I am from Poland.
I have almost passed the whole process connected with granting immigration visas. I passed the interview in February and I had to wait for it 2 years. Then after two months I got invitation for medical examinations. After next two months I received the info from the Embassy that I am at the final step of this process. Now I need to satisfy the Embassy with some things such as for example: ROLF payment, prove of the funds, etc..
My question is directly connected with the prove of funds. Shall I additionally show the prove of funds to the immigration officer or it's not checked and I can make money transfer? (in the form of cash, check or something else?) If someone knows how to do it best I really appreciate all Your clues.

Additionally I would like to get to know where I can find any onfo concerning the city of Winnipeg. This is the place where I'm going to settle.

Thanks for You help in advance

Regards,

Wojtek

I assume you are asking about the proof of funds when landing in Canada. It would be best to carry a Demand Draft or Cashier's check. These are safe money instruments that you can purchase from your bank. These take a more than a month to clear if deposited in a Canadian bank.Additionally, carry some traveller's checks (these are instantly cashable). The immigration officer may ask how much money you are carrying, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It is not checked against the amount that you put down when you initially filled out the PR application.
As for Winnipeg, Manitoba, there are a lot of sites if you search on Google. As for weather, winters are cold and summers are hot. It's the plains. Here's a start:
