Hello,

I have filed my Canadian Immigration thrg a Lawyer.I received Interview Waiver.I submitted my Medical Papers /ROL Fees a month back.

I have some questions here ,

1) How much time does the Canadian Consulate take to grant the Visa after Meds/ROL fees is submitted ??( Nowadays I believe they ask for the passport to be mailed ?

2) Once the ROL fees/Medical Papers are submitted, does the Consulate check you employment records, your figer-print records & all that ??

Any replies are welcome

Thanks
Sandeep

you are almost there..

Usually you get your pr in 3 to 4 months after that. Good part of canadian PR is they are not very concerned about your H1 or 485 or other status issues, since the PR is based on your qualifications and past experience, and its ok even you get laidoff in this tough market conditions. Canadian PR is more human than the GC process in USA (no need to watch your back all the time like maintaining your job status etc..) Hope this answer give you some relief.
