Landing in vancouver

I am planning to land in vancouver and come back to US in one day. Can I give Toronto address(my friend's address) as an address in Canada to get PR card ?
Even I stay for a day, should I have to declare items ? and should I have to say the Immigration officer that I will be returning to US in one day.

1. Yes
2. You get one chance for your goods to follow list and thats at "landing" if you don't declare your goods then, you will have to pay taxes and duty when you import them.
3. No, you don't have to tell them that you are returning to US, unless they ask.
