Hi All,
Here's my application process if anybody wants to know:
Applied as Immigrant skilled worker and evaluated under
the old system
Filed application around July, 2001. Got Confirmation
letter on Dec, 2001. Receive decision and medical papers
on June, 2002. I did my medicals and send them in on August, 2002; Receive a letter from the Buffalo asking me to mail my passport for immigrant visa stamp on Nov, 2002.
I did not mail it back immediately because I had to take a trip and needed my passport. I mailed my passport to Buffalo on Feb, and got the passport back within two weeks.
My question is :
1. After I landed in Canada and reported to immigration officer, is there anything else I need to do inside Canada before coming back to USA? (I am still doing my graduate degree in the States)
2. I did not get the "goods to follow" list in the mail as mentioned by many people on this discussion board, where can I get one?
3. Do they mail you the PR card or do I have to pick it up in person?
Can anyone share their experience on what exactly they have done while inside Canada? (besides personal stuff like traveling and visiting friends, or if people want to share that, it would be great too.
)
Thanks!
