My green card was approved after 5 days of canadian visa stamp at my passport.
so I decide to land and take the risk since I already paid a lot of money for this visa. I called many lawyers and all of them said no problem to have many residency as long as you maintain them.
So last week I landed at Ottawa airport, it was simple no crowd at the airport only my wife and I was at the immigration office. we gave our the officer our papers. she start confirming our information and opened our passports and she saw our green card stamp, but she never ask any question about it. at the end she said we will send you letter to pick up the cards.
after that I went to the custom, claim my staff. the whole process took 20 min from the door of the plane to the exit door.
I drove to montreal to visit my relative there then at the end of the week I flight back to US from Montreal airport. the US immigration officer ask what did you do at Montreal, I only replied visiting my relative. nothing about landing which it is true because If he ask what did you do at Canada I will tell him the truth about landing.
he start looking to my pasport and he saw the canadian visa and after clicking on his computer he ask me to follow him to the immigration office and ask me to wait after 10 minutes another officer came and gave me my passport and said " you are set, welcome to US" I told him why it tooks long time. he said it is normal because I have only stamp and they need time to verify the stamp. and he didn't mention any think about canadian visa.
So I think there is no problem to have both canaid PR and US green card.
