Landing Deadline and H1 approval issue.

Hi all,

I am in US working on H1.
I recently received my PR- Canadian landing papers. Now I am supposed to land in canada by May 20th - as per my passport visa stamp.

I got married after my medical examination was completed. Filed my wife's docs, got her FP, medical, etc ... and in short the whole process took lot of time and lot of delay.

Now my problem.
My H1 extension has been filed long back, but I have not yet received my H1 approval.

As per the H1 extension speed and other ppls expereince, it looks like my approval will be issued any minute.

But without my H1 approval I cannot re-enter US. My PR landing deadline is approaching.

If I receive my H1 approval, I don't have any problem. I can easily go to Canada, get my PR stamping/formalities completed, get my H1 extension stamped and return back to US.

What should I do now ? Without H1 approval I cannot re-enter US. And to get my Canadian PR, I have to go to Canada.

Can you please give me your time line as I had similar situation as your's ,

I added my wife to my after my medicals were done ,she has also completed her medivals.

My time line is as follows

Inital application : Feb 2002

Interiview waived and Medical Request: Feb 12 2004
Medical Done :March 5 2004

Added Wife to the appication : March 8 2004
Got her Medical Form from CIC: March 29 2004
Wifes Medical done: April 9 2004

I don't remember the exact dates. But is approx :

My Medical Request/Medical done : ~ Dec 2002

Added Wife to the appication : ~ April 2003
Wife's Medical done: Aug 2003

Since your medical was done March 2004, you have time till atleast March 2005.

I am concerned about possible delay in pasport request, can you please let me know when did you get the passoposrt request and wether you had interview or not.
