landing at Buffalo Border

Hi

I plan to land at the Canadian Border(Buffalo) - Peace Bridge
next month. I just plan to enter Canada and apply for PR card/
SIN and return back to USA. I will be driving to Canada using
my own car.

I have the following questions:

-Since I am planning to drive my own car and return in 1 week.
Is there any issue doing so? Can I say at the port of entry that
I wish to go back to USA and will declare the car when I come
back to Canada for good?
-I do not plan to declare anything. Infact I do not plan to
permanently move to Canada for the next 1 year. Is there an issue?
-What is "Goods to follow" list? Do I need to make one as I do
not plan to move my stuff at this point?
-I am planning to take $5000 either cash or Money Order. Any advise
whats better?
- I called the health Misitry regarding Health Card and was told that they need
a address proof like bank statement. Anyone got health card without proof of address.

TAKE A RENTAL. IF THE OFFICER GETS HARD ON YOU TO DECLARE THE CAR, YOU WILL THEN HAVE TO COMPLY WITH THEIR REQUIREMENTS. IN SHORT, UNNECESSARY HASSLES.

NO ISSUES HERE. YOU CAN REMAIN OUT OF CANADA 2/5 YEARS.

BETTER TO HAVE ONE. THIS IS THE LIST OF PERSONAL EFFECTS YOU PLAN TO IMPORT IN THE FUTURE OR AT THE TIME OF LANDING. SINCE THINGS MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE AND YOU MAY WANT TO MIGRATE TO CA. INCLUDE HIGH VALUE ITEMS LIKE CAR, ELECTRONICS. I THINK IT'S VALID FOR 5 YEARS, NOT SURE OF THIS.

MONEY ORDER. IT'S SAFE. YOU DON'T NEED TO DEPOSIT IT ANYWHERE.

FORGET THIS.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY THERE FOR A WEEK. YOU CAN RETURN THE SAME DAY AFTER APPLYING FOR SIN. WHEN I LANDED, I STAYED FOR A DAY. TOOK A RENTAL AND APPLIED FOR SIN. THERE ARE LOTS OF SIN OFFICES CLOSE TO THE BORDER AND SOME OF THEM ARE OPEN ON SATURDAYS.
