landing and $10000

I am a Canadian citizen who is sponsoring my wife\'s permanent residency in Canada. She has her landing papers now. When we arrive, do we need to show that I have $10000 in a Canadian bank? I already completed a process to determine that I was financially capable to support her during the immigrant petition process.

i sponsored someone and at the POE they asked what funds the individual was carrying and I was not expecting the question and said I had no proof but that I had demonstrated financial adequacy at the time of sponsorship. CIC was ok with that answer.

If you do carry proof of funds I dont think its necessary to have it in a Canadian bank. Your US bank account (I seem to recall that you said in some post you work in the US) statement should be enough.
