Landed immigrant in the US PLZ HLEP

i am curently studying in the usa and planing to go to canada by car, i have only landed immigrant paper and no PR card, can i do that, last time i was in canada in may of 2004. can i use american car, or it should be canadain car, please hlep??? and how long a landed immigrant that does not have PR card can stay in usa or out of canada?

Hi Hotsoccer80,

You did not mention when you actually became PR of Canada? Anyway to maintain your PR you will have to stay in Canada for a period of 2 years out of a total of 5 starting from the day you land as PR.

As you are landing by car you may not need your PR card. Please call up the nearest Canadian Consulate to get more information.
