Laidoff, is old H1 still valid?

I transfered my H1 from company A to Company B 4 months ago. B laid off people including me due to the economy.It is going to revoke the visa. I didnt get B\'s visa stamped yet. The H1 visa stamp of A is still valid, till september next. I guess A did not revoke the visa. Can I fall back on A\'s visa and still be in status?
 
No. you are out of status now. Leave US ASAP.

Why you guys jump so quickly. Now you pay the price. You are out of status now. Go back to India.
 
yes ur old visa is valid

if ur old company did not revoke the old h1, u can still join them with out any problem.

i know a friend who had done this.. anyway consult a good attorney and u can get it done. it is perfectly within the INS laws to do so.
 
Just laid off, need help on what options I have

I just got laid off 2 days ago, and my last day with the company will be 12/31/01. What should I do? I asked around, f1 visa is not easy to get nowadays, b2 visa is an option. but is it easy to get? and since my last day with the company is approach fast, strictly speaking, I need to apply to transfer from H1 to B2 (for pleasure) before that. Do I have any other options? Some friends suggested that I do nothing and just look for a job, but what about my H1? Isn\'t expired on 12/31 according to law?

Will someone please help me? I\'m really lost and desperate, :-(

H1B holder but out of USA for more than 6 months.

Hi!, I am hving H1B which is still valid as I m wrking for Indian office of the same company. Now can I apply for H1 transfer if I get an offer ? I m in India for the past 7 months. Thanks.
