Hi,

I was laid-off in sept 2002 and applied for H1B extension with
another employer receipt dated Dec 4th 2002. My paychecks are for the month of september 2002.

my company said they would cancel my H1.

It has been around 7 months, i have not yet got my H1 approved
from California Service Center.

any chance of my H1 being rejected ??

someone, please give me some suggestion, if you were in a similar scenario.

Greatly appreciate your help !!

Well there is a chance it may get rejected if your previous employer cancelled your H1.

They may not reject your Current H1B petition just because you did not work for couple months, but they will send you an approval with out an I-94.

If that is the case then you have to leave the country and come back with a new visa/I-94.
