Laid off - Pl help

I was laid of last week and my Labor and I-140 are approved, and i am on my 8th year of H1B. I have 8 more months on my H1B, if i get a job at another company can i get a 3 year extension during the H1B transfer process? Or should i have to transfer the H1B and then file for H1B extension 6 months before the expiry date?

Assuming my old company will not revoke 140.

Any update is really appreciated by the Gurus.

Yes. You will het three year extension based on

your I-140 approval from the company which laid you off.

Just find another company asap.

Keep the copies of all the GC related papers.
