Company was bought by another company. Filed new I-140 with succession of interest (5-2002). I was laid off 2 days after new I-140 filing. Branch office eventually closed end of May 2002, while main company is still up. The new I-140 was withdrawn, old I-140 intact, I-485 intact. Now I am over 180 days and there is a work opportunity in another state. Will that pose a problem for the processing of my I-485? I asked my lawyer and said it would not. I just want to know if anyone experienced otherwise. Please site REAL experiences. Thanks!
