Trust me, there is a lot of excitement about this issue in the forum, but those who are excited are nothing but selfish heartless people. They could only care about their problems and they do not care about how bad this bill is for most immigrants. Yes, it is great that this bill will remove the cap, but refugees do not have a cap and their waiting period is 3 years. Their number is also 1/4th that of asylees, so do the math. We may be talking about 7-8 years to clear the log. Therefore, the cap removal will never have immediate impact and it will take long years to reap its benefits. Otherwise, this bill is deemed anti-immigrant and anti-asylees. Many people will get hurt as a result of it: those who want to apply for political asylum and those undocumented immigrants who want to drive to their $ 4/hr jobs. There is something about people who come to this country. Once they get in, they want to close the door for others. This attitude started early towards Italian and Irish immigrants and now mostly Asian, Latino(a), and African immigrants are being targeted. It is pathetic. I am willing to place a bet right now that the current backlog will not be cleared before 7-8 yearsjw1951 said:I am a bit baffled. There does not seem to be a lot of excitment that the adjustment cap is deleted from the law. We have spent the past few years biching about this single issue.
Please watch your ghetto language. Look at the waiting period of refugees. It is 3 years and their number is 1/4th of that of asylees. The USCIS promise you mentioned was only related to those who comprise the 10,000 asylees that were supposed to be adjusted this fiscal year- they did for legal reasons. We are talking about few Immigration workers who have to process 182,000 application. This takes time. Please see the big picture ok?wantmygcnow said:Shamson..you smoking crack? USCIS had already promised to process anyone with RFI by 09/30/05 which is ND date of May 01/01....how can that make sense what ur saying? without cap..they should get to at least 01/02..in my opinion by end of this year..not fiscal year..

Here is a defintion of fascism:samoel said:Your posting proves me right...I'm sorry, don't have the number for Robert Byrd (Democrat US Senator "ex-kkk recruiter" for those who don't know) .... you dropped fascist for KKK nice switch![]()
Your writing style shows how limited, unsophisticated and idiotic you are. You honestly need a condensed course in writing. What a loserhampton8844 said:Attached is a detailed (and dense) explication of the asylum provisions found in the REAL ID. Brainless people like Shamshon will have neither the desire nor the ability to read it. For the rest of us it is a good rebuttal of AILA propaganda.
You just can not refute may argument. Can you?samoel said:Your posting proves me right...I'm sorry, don't have the number for Robert Byrd (Democrat US Senator "ex-kkk recruiter" for those who don't know) .... you dropped fascist for KKK nice switch![]()

"A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism."
When you support a bill that denies others the same opportunity you received, this is fascism. When you support members of congress who are anti-immigrants and who want to take away the same rights their immigrant grandparents got, this is fascism. When you accuse those who oppose a dictatorial billthat will take privacy rights from everyone with being propagandist BSers, this is fascism. Now, the KKK members support this bill the same way you do. So you both seem to have common grounds and ideologies. Please check them out since they may be your comrades. By the way the senator you trashed is one among few who voted against the fascist racist lost war in Iraq, something you failed to mention.
