To all,
This email is being written from India.
My wife (we both live in Miami) is on a F-1 student visa at FIU (Miami). Since she transferred in 2005 from Indiana State University to FIU, during this India trip, a visa re-stamp would be required.
The issue here is that the Delhi US embassy has given her a date of 2nd Feb. This leads to 2 implications:
1. Her return is scheduled on 18th January
2. Her I-20 is valid till Jan 26, 2006.
In addition, she still has a valid visa for Indiana State University.
The VFS in Delhi is trying to move her up in the queue, but that's pending someone else removing their name from the queue.
Question - can she still enter the US on the 18th Jan with her ISU visa and her existing I-20?
Question - if that's not feasible, what other options do we have?
Hoping you can guide us thru this,
Heerain Piplani
