In 1998 my ex-employer started labor process and it was approved in 1999. I left the company in 2000 without starting I-140. They had changed their company name in 2001. Recently I got a project work from my ex-client and I asked my ex-employer to re-use of my own labor. They said I cannot use that because it's 2+ years old and company name got changed. Please help me here....it is true???

Gee, I don't know. What was the form of the name change? Was it just a name change or was there an acquisition? If an acquisition, how was it accomplished? Was it a purchase of all assets, a stock purchase or did it take some other form?

There are so many questions about this that it would not be possible to adequately address them all in this type of forum. Sure, I could give you an answer, it just might not be accurate. It might, but it might not. Why do you not believe you company? they know more about the acquisition than anyone here possibly could and they are telling you that it is not possible.

Normally, it is not possible at the stage that you are in.
