My lawyer filed for I140/I485 concurrently on Feb 15 and received the receipt on Feb 26. This was filed on an existing labor(labor substitution). Today (April 30) I received EAD.
My question was:
Does this mean my labor substititution was OK. Because I heard it takes 6 months for this.

Thank You in advance.

This only means that your application is accepted and it looks ok in the preliminary review. But the actual verification will be done when your I140 is due to adjudication.

Gurus, pls correct me if I am wrong.

Vortex is right. I also filed with labor sub. and got my EAD in 2 months. That just means 140 application was not fraudlent.

its good thing...

getting EAD is a good thing...As vortex and will_get_there pointed out, this proves that your I-140 is not fraudulent.

Every approval brings you one step closer...

How about AP and did you get FP notice??

working on EAD will nullify ur. h1, whether u do it full or part time.

secondly u will have to work in the same discipline as mentioned in the labor.

i wud prefer to stay on h1 as long as possible.

yes ur. wife can use ead to work, but the she will need AP to travel if she uses EAD.

totally agree with will_get_there.

Its always better to be on H1 as long as possible (atleast till you become eligible to take shelter under AC21 --- that is getting your I-140 approved and crossing 180 days on your I-485).
