I have a job offer from a desi consulting company with pre approved labor substitution with PD of June 2000.The education on the pre-approved labor matches correctly but the skill sets does not match at all ( I can change my resume for the experience before 2000 and get all the necessary experience letters ). Is it worth risking changing my resumes to the different skills , to take this? I have allready a pending labor cert ( Sep 2003 PD ) with my current employer. Pls advice

my 2 cents

let me start my telling you that i work for one of those "desi" companies albeit in a Mgmt role. I can honestly say that the attitude towards consultants are mainly as Fair weather friends. They will drop you like hotcakes the moment you are not billable and you may find yourself in a difficult situation maybe 6 months from now
That said...

the PD of June 2000 - if it is in Eb2 then you may benefit from moving to that company and taking the substitution labor as the Retrogression dates for Eb2 are still better than Eb3 and closer to that date.

If you are happy with your current employer - then stick with your PD Sept 2003 cause they are processing this month right now and you should have your labor approved within this month and can file I-140.

To summarise - which ever way you go - right now both paths will lead to your being able to file 140 only and then playing the waiting game for 485. The earlier PD may give you relief in a few months if it is an Eb2 but im not sure at what cost.

Oh and one more thing: I do not reccommend starting any relationship with USCIS on misrepresentation (changing resume to suit job requirement). It will come back to haunt you. I may be wrong on this and your lawyer will advise you better.
