Labor Processing's extra advertisements??

hello all,

my 'employment-based' green card case was started couple of yrs. back in new york city, in a way that the employer would hire me once they file + get me a green card. After 2 years of waiting, now the labor dept. says that "3 more advertisements" should be placed in the newspaper and they will be directly supervised by the labor dept.

Does this mean that the process cannot go through, becuase they will find some candidate and say that he/she should be replaced for me.

"also, if the labor dept. is doing this now, does that mean that green cards through employment is a history now??"

please suggest what should I do.

thanks.
JC.

No, they can't ask your employer to remove you from the job and hire someone else. Ofcourse, they can reject your labor application saying that "there are people out there to do your job". I guess you must have filed ur appliction through RIR process. In that case they have changed it to normal labor processing (which requires additional ad's and will be monitored by the labor department).

No still you can get GC through employement. It depends where u are and where u file from (Labor and I-140 is always a big hurdle to overcome). Hope this helps.

Thank God, I got the Labor approval without much hastles !!!

Got the news yesterday saying my Labor passed from NY Federal sent from NJ state.
