Labor filed...when is marriage certificate critical?

My labor has just been filed few weeks back. I am going through EB2. Do I add my wife during 140 or 485 process? We got married in our country one year ago and we don't have marriage certificate since it was civil marriage. We did not have time to go court in to get marriage certificate.

Now I want to get marriage certificate but I heard from someone that both myself & wife need to go to our country and stay for like 19 days or something to get marriage certificate. I don't want to do this. Anyone have been through this problem? What is best way to get marriage certificate without going to my country? Can I use just marriage photos as evidence?

You file 140 for you, with your wife's name in the respective column and then file 485 for you and another 485 for your wife. You need to enclose the marriage certificate with the 485. I don't know the answers to your other questions. In my country there is no such thing as civil marriage.
