My labor (EB3) was certified in California on Aug 20.

What are the next steps? I will be filing for 140 shortly. Should I go for CP or AOS? What are the risks associated with these options?

My company is financially very stable. No layoffs ever. I want my GC asap. Is there is any risk of going with CP in Chennai?

How much time will take after I apply for CP/485 to get my GC?

What are the next steps?
ANSWER: File I-140.

ANSWER: Research the forum there is a lot of information. In short, do CP if:
1. job is stable for another 12-13 months basically till you get your GC thru CP
2. You and all applicants have been in status and have not illegal past
3. You and all aplicants on your gc app have no contagious or deadly diseases.

Check this link (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/wwwhimmi.html#refused) for reasons for rejection. If you have covered yourself from all these reasons then CP is the way to go.

ANSWER: Above...

ANSWER: I-140 (5 months) with CP (6-8 months) = 11-13 months from date of filing I-140 assuming there are no RFE's on your I-140.
I-140 (5 months) with 485 (MINIMUM 2 years) = Atleast 2 1/2 years from date of filing I-140 assuming there are no RFE's on your I-140 & 485 is smooth.
