My labor has been pending in New Jersey for last 2.5 years now. Since then my job responsibilities have changed significantly. Can I amend labor to reflect my new job responsibilities without affecting my fillling date.

after going to that site, i understand that as long as the case is not processed, u r allowed to change the application. but what do u mean by changing application? mainly i mean if let's say one has an MS degree but when the application was filed i, the requirement in the job desriptionwas a BS let's say (so EB-3).
in this case, can the application be changed to MS instead of BS in this way he will be later under eb-2 without that he looses his PD?
i'm asking that because if the above can happen, many people from EB-3 category will change to EB-2 after hearing lately about the retrogression of visas.
