Hi

I also had a Transfer to LA office, But I had my interview at SFO, Can you give me details of RFE and also what documents are they requesting for your interview, I can tell you what was my experience at SFO

Hi and thanks for ur prompt reply.

INS just requested for my Current Letter of Employment.
It was stated in the letter, that since my address has changed (coz i filed a change of address) they assumed that I'm working at a different employer.

For my scheduled interview; INS only asked me for another medical, Current Letter of Employment, Passport and I-94.

Hi
I would like to provide what I had taken for my Interview, ( Eventhough I carried things like My GC was through marriage to a Citizen).

Please ask me any questions You feel would help you in preparing your Interview.

These are the documents I had taken with me.
1. H1 & H4 Originals (Plus one Copy for INS officer)
2. Old & New Ead Cards
3. Old & New AP's
4. Current Employer Verification Letter
5. Last 3 Paystubs
6. W-2 & Tax for Current Year (2002) + Previous Year
7. Wife's Medical(They had requested, since she had active TB when first medical was done)
8. Previous Employers Experience Letters(Just in Case).
9. Affidavit of Support for Spouse.(INS requested this)
10. Driver's License
11. Social Security Card
12. Company's last 2 years Income tax (INS Request)
13. DE-6 Report (Quarterly Payroll Report ) (INS Request)
14. Birth Certificates
15. Marriage Certificate.
16 Marriage Album.(Even though Mine was through Employment, Just thought better to be safe than being sorry)
17. Current and Old Passports.
18. I-94

Nothing in Particular Order.

But just keep everything in a orderly fashion. So you don't search for documents when they request you. I gathered everything because I don't want to be in a fix if they ask anything which I didn't carry. I also had my attorney with me(Just In Case).

One More thing, Just answer only what they ask and don't answer out of your way.

So My very best wishes for you.

Thanks
Srini

i had interview earlier this month...

just take all docs....they did not ask tricky questions just verified information on their files....

also take last 3 yrs tax returns for employer and urself....

after interview they said they will get back in less than 30 days..but luckily approved case within a week..

i had changed job and moved..no issuess with that. they just need an employer..to verify employment..

.....................................
i am not a lawyer....above is not a formal advise..just an experience.......pl consult lawyer for any info

thanks srini and tp72 for ur reply.

i sure hope everything goes well. i just read some of the posts here regarding the salary >= LC. and i'm in the same boat. actually i don't know the what the salary stated in my LC, coz my previous company did not give me a copy of that. and i tried asking for them but they said it's company property. but anyway, i'm just concerned coz my current employer right now is paying me less than what i was earning before. $10000 less.

can u give me example of questions they usually ask?

thanks once again.

They didn't ask me any questions regards to salary, since I was with only one employer throughout(From Day 1 in US). If you have changed Jobs I think they might ask you, But I would say please see other threads, If i find any I'll let you know.
