L2 -> EAD -> SSN ?

I was just wondering after getting EAD (L2 based), can my wife get SSN ?
Now she has ITIN only.

Yes,ur wife can get SSN eventhough she is having TIN,after getting EAD card u apply for SSN.

There is no change,she is still waiting for Visa.We just want a detail info on ur approach,b\'cos my brother went to Hyd ,he wants to approach a lawyer (here he took the advise of an attorney),so it may help u further ,pls send us a detail mail ,what is ur job here and what r the docs u applied? and when did u apply?etc..

Yes you can. Simply walk into the nearest Social Security Administration office with a filled out form, your passport, Driver license and EAD.
