L2 EAD "lost in mail"

Hi, I am on a L2 visa as my husband's dependent. I had filed for an EAD on March 27th 2007. This petition got approved on June 8th. But I didnt receive the EAD in mail. I called USCIS and they said that they had mailed my card on the 8th of June itself and asked me to check with the USPS. I went to the local USPS and spoke to the post master. The postmaster said that unless I have a tracking number they would not be able to help me. They asked me to talk to USCIS to get the tracking number. The USCIS said that they send the EADs only by regular first class mail by USPS and they dont have tracking numbers and asked me to file for a replacement card. By this time, more than a month had already passed. We filed for a replacement EAD on the day we were told to by the USCIS - July 28th. We still have not seen any change in the status of this application and I am afraid that this document also could get "lost in mail". I have already ensured that my name has been added to my apartment mailbox. Any suggestions on what we should/can do to ensure that I receive the document? I would feel more comfortable if USCIS could send me the documents by FEDEX or provide me with tracking numbers. I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Vidhya

Try getting an appointment through INFOPASS, go to a local USCIS office near you (if there is one within reasonable distance) and ask for an interim EAD. Not all the USCIS office would issue an interim EAD but it's worth a try. If I-765 is pending more than 90 days, they will issue an interim EAD. In your case at least your first one was approved, but they might issue one anyway if you explain your situation.

Usually for I-129 petitions USCIS will use FEDEX or EMS if you provide pre-stamped or prepaid envelope along with your application.

What was your local USCIS? Didn't they say anything about issuing an interim EAD when you went there? Anyway in your case it is obvious that TSC need something extra and whatever the extra is, there isn't much you can do about it. I don't think re-filing helps, because at least they have found your EAD application.
