I will be travelling to US on L-1B. My wife already has a valid F-1 and is currently in OPT duration (expiring July 05). As far as I know if we apply for
L-2 visa for her, her F-1 would go void and she won't be able to work in the US. Is this correct?
Is there any way to fasten the L-2 EAD process. I understand that it takes 3-4 months to get a new EAD and we don't want to wait for that long. Also, she already has a SSN. Would that be a problem in getting the EAD or would it help in fastening the EAD processing.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
