My L1B visa is getting expired in Jan 06 I will be completing 5 years continous stay in US by that time. My question is
Question 1
I heard that l1B max period is 5 years. My I94 expires in Oct 06. Is it legal to stay till Oct 06 even though I complete 5 years by jan 06? Do I need to leave US immediately as L1B gets expires?
Question 2
I was in B1 visa earlier for 3 months(in 2000). This 3 months is not included in the 5 years total L1B period right?
Question 3
Can I for transfer from L1B to L1A visa staying in US? If so how long it would take for processing? How early can I apply for L1A provided my L1B expires in Jan 06? Suppose in the meantime if my L1B expires then is it legal to stay while my L1A is getting processed?
