L1B to H1B and Travel

My wife has an L1B with a company A. She has currently applied for H1B (Year 2009) with a company B. We dont even know if she will be selected in the Lottery.

Now her project has been completed in Company A, but her L1B is valid till Feb 2010. Now would travelling outside the US to India this week, affect her H1B approval process?

Additionally, we are planning to get her H4 stamp once in India. Would this be an issue?

I think getting H4 stamped is good idea.

I don't think traveling and applying for H1 is going to be an issue.
