Hello:
I am on an L1B visa in Financial Operations field, with a multinational. It's good for 5 years, up to July 10, 2006. On Friday, March 18, my employer told me that they will NOT sponsor me for a Green Card because my "job does not qualify" (I am not a manager, just have specialized knowledge). I have negotiated with them on this, and failed. They say its about the job, not about the money it costs.
Questions:
1. If I search for an employer who IS willing to sponsor me, by what date in 2005 would the LC have to be submitted to BCIS in order for me to be able to stay past July 2006? Is it around June 2005? Am I correct that the key thing is when the LC is submitted to BCIS?
2. I am a Canadian, I know I cant go to H1, but might be able to get a TN. Would you agree that I do not have ANY other option to WORK in the US past July 2006?
THANKS!!
