1. Exactly what is lost? Your L-1B Approval Notice? A copy of the petition documents filed with USCIS?

2. Are you coming to the U.S., or leaving the U.S.?

3. Exactly what are you trying to to with your "L1B Individual Petition?" Are you trying to apply for an L-1 visa or you are trying to enter the U.S. with a newly issued L-1 visa?

Hi Snug first of all thanks to you for your response.
1.My L-1B Approval Notice is missing.Actually i have not lost it but i think it is either misplaced by the company or the consulate did not send the Petition documents.I was given a 221(g) for additional documents to be sent by Drop box which i did and my company recieved the passports with Visa and nothing else(that is what my company says) and not the Petition documents.
2.I am actually coming to U.S.
3.I am trying to enter the U.S. with a newly issued L-1 visa.

OK, you applied for an L-1 visa. At first you got 221(g) but eventually your L-1 visa was issued and you got your passport (with an L-1 visa) back. But the Consulate did not return your original Approval Notice as they should have. Is this accurate so far?

I'm still trying to figure out the nature of your worries. I mean, if you have your passport with an L-1 visa, you don't need anything else to apply for an admission at POE. True, sometimes immigration inspectors want to see the Approval Notice too, but that is not a requirement.

If you are thinking that you may not be able to enter the United States in L-1 because you won't have an Approval Notice in hand, get a copy of the notice and bring it with you just in case you are asked. If you don't even have a copy, at least bring your petition's filing number (you should be able to get the number from Receipt Notice) with you just in case. But you should be able to enter the U.S. without an Approval Notice.
