Hi - a quick question that hopefully someone may be able to help with:
I'm in the US on an L-1, which expires May 2006, although I will probably be made to go back to the UK office in September 2005.
I have been made an offer to do a Masters at a US Institution, with full tuition waiver and an assistantship, which is more than enough to support myself.
Can I apply for a change of status within the US? If so, how long should I allow for this?
I still intend to leave for the UK at the end of my OPT period, I just want to take this chance to learn a new profession at a good school, rather than apply for a lesser course in the UK.
If any can identify any other problems I'd again be very grateful.
Andy
