L1b and AC21, worried now

I came to the us L1b and am currently on my EAD waiting for my approval for the last 16 months.

If i get laid off, will i be able to use AC21 portability rule. Please note in am NOT on H1b.
 
Doesn't matter if you entered the country using L1 or H1. SInce you are on your EAD and if it has been over 6 months (180 days) since filing your 485, then you can use AC21 and change employers. However, the job desc of your new job should match what is mentioned in your LC.

Please do consult a lawyer as well.

Maybe your lawyer handled this for you and that's why you don't know about the SOC code.

Ask a copy of your I140 application form from your lawyer and you should be able to find it.
