I have read some of your comments and seems you have been great help for people like us on this forum. I have some key questions:
1) I came to US on a blanket L1A from company X - entered US March 2006,Before this I have stayed 6 years in US on H1B and went back to home country for 2 years before comming back again on L1A. Still have valid L1A and I-94 valid till 2008.
2) I have a another H1B approved from Company Y - Since Nov 2005(never used), received in my hands from the employer Y(H1B)after stamping L1A.
3) Now I want to work for the H1B company Y leaving company X who holds my L1A.
Question:
a) Can I still stay within the country(US) and get myself work for H1B company Y - What is needed for this to stay legally?
b) Do I need to change my I94(US entry card) card with H1 as currently it says L1 on it.
c) If this request of transfer could be done, what form# is applicable?
d) Could this be done with premium processing - and if yes what form#
e) With your experience how much time does it take?
f) If I have to go out of the country and get this stamped, then can I go to mexico or canada and get this stamped or I have to go to the home country to stamp the H1B
