L1A to GC on Future Hire Status

Hello Everybody

I love for somebody to guide me on some advice I seek.I happen to be here on L1A and would like to switch to another company.. I came to know from a friend of mine that

1) It is possible to switch to GC if the other employer files the GC in the status of category of "Future Hire" in the company

2) When the GC is approved I could switch to the other company since the IRS would then do an audit of some sort to see whether I have switched.

I just want to validate this if at all this thing exists.. If YES ,,, then I would like to know who could help me.. If NO also then I could like to know the correct legal procedure of jumping from L1 to another employer on any other Visa.

I have a question for you and group,. How much time it takes to geta GC with L1a i mean a range of time or avg. time.
